I have long been an older N150 (DGN1000). This has an external antenna, and is basically flawless. Now I have procured the current V3 model with internal antenna for a girlfriend.
DSL Sync and WLAN running immediately, the Internet dial-up with PPOE not working (red LED) and I do not at this point about the telecom support speak. I can reproduce the problem on my connection as well. The device via the "genius" Wizard reports an error in the connection (check cable, ISP contact etc.) and manual adjustment was equally unsuccessful. The login information were both correct, so that I have checked the settings.
It has been found out that among the xDSL settings in the default VLAN ID is 7 and the default setting is active. This ensured definitely for the connection problem after deactivation was on both ports all right. I've read that some buyers have sent due to the same problems the device back and poorly rated. Therefore, I have struggled through to a first Amazon review. ;-)
I beg your attention / change the "Netgear team" and hope that others will not have to invest more than three hours of time and some nerves ...
