Those new to GT5 are good, they are right. The game is beautiful and in a pinch you can have fun with. That's it.
For the others I am and who knew GT4: what a disappointment! Having waited all this time for this!? At almost 60? It took me months to finish GT4 and less than 3 weeks to almost finish GT5, and yet playing one hour here and there.
My main complaints:
- Game volume represents a third of GT4, barely.
- The long charging time, long, long, stultifying (waiting, a black screen with a scrolling banner shabby)
- No damage management (if sparks, and sometimes traces of paint!)
- Player Strategy in the game almost absent compared to GT4,
- IA incredibly unrealistic cars competing (no change compared to GT4, your competitors seem to roll on rails they never deviate)
- Few circuits (arggghh the TopGear circuit is not freely accessible other than Volkswagen microbus traveling at 70Km / H; I have not found a way to train myself on the Nurburgring!)
- No specific race car brands (like GT4), what a pity,
- Levels of difficulty incoherent licenses (the arch-too easy to not diabolical, what become enraged)
- Very difficult to earn money (you can not win back the same car in order to sell it to invest in a more powerful), impossible to earn millions of credits, except to play and replay dozens of times same circuit to hope to win a little million. Without interest.
- Sometimes you have to invest a small fortune in a car to win an event that will bring a TOULOURS 3 balls car (try the Toyota Vitz contest: the gold cup will take you back a useless Prius-yuk for the rest of the game), or Worse win gold for France competition and you win a 2CV ... argh! For much of the race, the car won (first arriving at the same everywhere) is a standard version of very short of that you bought to win.
- Forget the pilot 'delegate' (B-Spec), totally unnecessary and very annoying: you have to hire a driver who will drive is going to require tens of races. Can not let him drive and go drink coffee because it will lose almost all the races: we must tell him when to double when getting upset when calm down, plus he gets tired and starts to act like a real crap! Yes, you have understood, we must attend all race to tell the nag how to drive, but you do not drive! DEADLY.
- Cars for sale: the most interesting cars are worth more than 20 million! It is not with the tens of thousands credits earned you'll pay you one. Except replay dozens and dozens of times the same circuit. As for secondhand bagnoles, 90% of them are Japanese without any interest (more than 10 versions of Yaris?)
- Unlikely mods: I changed the chip on my Jensen (there was no mapping Roma at that time!)
- Oh yes, and the competition Kart! Ah ah ah! Must try if you have never done kart. And even there, it's pretty bad. And your competitors appear again roll on rails. No interest.
All this savors the many add-ons to 35 or 40 that are sure to arrive I bet you shortly. After so much waiting, what a disappointment. An advice? go your way, it's a game ... to buy used.
