Orig. Review (1 Star):
I had many years ago atFoliX Clear FX already discovered many display films and for me. Since then I have made on each of my phones a film of this manufacturer - and was (even among those who have received negative reviews as the Nexus S or the Galaxy Nexus) always satisfied. Usually me a film has passed since they were so scratch resistant and could be applied well and with enough experience that I have with my now 9 Smartphone, I succeeded the highly satisfactory. Yes, maybe I'm fussy and accept no bubbles trapped dust under the film, but as I said it was so far also always in the realm of the feasible. This film for the OPO has brought me the first time to my limits. I was a bit disappointed to have to spend 9 euros for three films, so I thought I would come back out with a. Far from it.
The first film I had to actually dispose of after a few failed attempts - that's never happened to me. The film is cut so large in width that it too far may be applied no quarter millimeters left or right or wrong - added, the OPO is quite long, if you afford up a slight shift when applying, you down a very large offset. But in the meantime, I once had a Samsung Galaxy Note, which was now not really small. The grid helps to position and no meter, because the OPO yes top has a round and the grid anyway too coarse for the required precision. And I'm not a bungler, but work very precisely. The film draws felt even more dust than previous models, at least I had big problems on a definitely dustless OPO (I had cleaned with static Lenspen for photo lenses and controlled with perfect slightly oblique light), the film really apply without Mote. The summit was the peeling of the upper cover sheet. Unlike all the other slides the tab sits to pull not * under * the coversheet, but is a banal sticker on the protective film. And sitting so tight (and the cover sheet in turn so fixed on the actual protector) that I have pulled myself while trying to pull the cover sheet, the corresponding corner of the protective film again from the mobile phone - result: Again dust under the film and a new Miss , What a cheese - why change since successful (and meaningful) concepts ?? Of course, the strap between the cover and protective foil belongs.
The second film I have now applied such that the edge in three places does not stop the film, because it has got some dust underneath. Therefore, I will make one last attempt with the third film, and look at the repetition of previous results after me another screen protector.
Since it is just a side note, that the (German) manual was wrong, the tab for pulling the lower protective film is not provided with a number and looks different, but who is not stupid comes so naturally problems still clear.
In short:
Positives:
- Scratch resistance and clarity of the film
Negatives:
- Tab for peeling the cover sheet only, and not glued, so that both films can come out under the cover sheet
- Fit too tight, virtually no room at the side edge (ie the long side, where it would be even more important, the bottom is actually some distance to the edge of the glass, but that does not help, on the side affects a minimal (1/10 mm ) Fix wrong now times the length of the OPO so from that the film does not fit)
- Extremely sensitive to dust during application (excessive static electricity - the purest Staubmagnet)
- (Manual wrong - but anyway unnecessary, yet understandable, so that's not decisive)
I no longer buy. AtFoliX has lost one so far very satisfied customers, too bad.
