Summer 2005: the cali-punk rock legend Social Distortion toured the latest album, "Sex, Love & Rock'n'Roll", and all, but really were all here: the mike (COOL) Ness-wannabee Group including their tattoos and rods, dapperdan-pomades and Finerip-tees! nice actually, but for about 15 years before, as a social d. "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell" on (small) German theaters presented the atmosphere was intimate and the only coolness came personally from Master Mike. better actually ... but time flies and I do not whine! the 92er Social Distortion album showed the band for the first time completely consistent with really all their trademarks provided: rockabilly and country elements merge with melancholy cali-punk, crowned by the greatest and most charismatic voice of the whole damned rock world. so consistent and so emotional, so genuine, so heartfelt and deep, there have been no other band as Social Distortion. the album summarizes a range full of heart-songs that are simply unforgettable: the driving opener "Cold Feelings", the sweetheart with damailger together eingesungene "This Time Darlin '", the characteristic "King of Fools", the beautiful "Making Believe", nuff' Said in "bad luck", the coolest chorus line ever in "When She Begins" (to rock, honey, I begin to roll) ... damn: every song here is simply timeless great and unique is not an exaggeration little words! Distortion Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell ... social: for great art. thank you.
