I switched from an iPhone 4 on the Lumia, since my iPhone was broken (bought used from a friend ^^)
From functionality and the operation I was top satisfied with the iPhone. Hence, the Nokia was critically appraised 8 OS with Windows Phone.
Why I decided nevertheless to Nokia?
- New iPhone is too expensive
- Android I do not like from the user interface
- Good experience with Nokia
- Music and playlists from iTunes can be transferred to the Phone application on the device
Commissioning is typical smartphone, first time to create an account in Windows. All this is simply out of hand and the phone is ready for use.
After that, everything set up just as you would need to connect with Facebook and add e-mail accounts.
Even taking the homescreen a very appealing and especially moving optics.
Before a change own pictures and contact photos of friends, all flanked by quietschbunten tiles. I like really good!
Overall, it is worth noting what features you get integrated with the operating system: music recognition, navigation, barcode and QR code scanner, Facebook, City Lens, an online music service ... all very good features which I will often avail!
The next two days I had two crashes the operating system, music lies not synchronize as promised and the phone forgot the playlists.
I wanted it really however already return a Reset to Factory Settings resolved these problems.

Resetting to factory settings one inevitably to the point of recovery. This is achieved with Windows Phone a little different ... The backup will be stored (after adjustment) in Sky Drive. Save on the PC is (still?) Not possible. That would not be so bad, aaaaaber: Download the backup success solely through the mobile data network. It so happens, that happens, access to the backup before you set something. Now detects the phone a SIM card of the operator Simyo, is selected as APN Eplus (same network). Otherwise you get for the money a solid phone with the most important functions. This part should not keep up with the flagship Lumia 920 be clear. But that alone already justifies the price!
The operating system is designed very intuitive and the migration from iOS to Windows gave me no problems.
In my mind, fears are relative to a few apps absolutely unfounded, so far I've missed anything yet. The integrated in the operating system functions make even the odd app überflüssig.Für someone who constantly needs the latest app, the mobile phone is possibly nothing. But I'm sure that is caught here too neat!
For people without a credit card: you can pay at the store with PayPal. A very big advantage!
What I compared to iOS positive notice: you can put shortcut buttons for WLAN, Mobile Data, locating, airplane mode and Bluetooth in your homescreen. This is indeed a iPhone only possible if you have a jailbreak.
The vexing issue battery and smartphone if the battery is in my loose a day with 3G switched on, positioning and WLAN. I've been using the device for listening to music often, Facebook, Internet and WhatsApp. For playing I never use it. But the term is definitely ok. If you ne long night has in front of him, it is recommended to charge the device again, you never know what you yes for it still needs ;-)
For economical use is certainly a second day there.
The battery indicator in the status bar is not in% that can be overcome, however, with a free app!
The voice quality and reception characteristics are excellent, equivalent to the iPhone!

There are other positive and negative points that I noticed:
- Facbook App has until now only once a Push message displayed (yes only once in approx nem month ^^) But if n problem of Facebook app to be (the iOS app will also push not 100% reliable)
-WhatsApp Shows new messages sometimes only when you open the app ... So no push part white messages. Especially with WhatsApp that is annoying!
- The song changes occur frequently at a crack in the speakers when they are connected via 3.5mm jack, bothers me. When playing via Bluetooth, the problem is not there.
- Two days battery life are definitely possible, but only with limited use
- Photo quality in good light well, party photos through superior flash also good images with zoom are underground bad
- Offline Navigation is really very fast and Class
- In general, the GPS stations seem to be very good, the location is always recorded extremely fast
