The total third album of the duo from Akron, Ohio (to anyone remember Devo?) Is still bluesy than its predecessor "thickfreakness" failed. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney do it with "Rubber Factory" to revive the blues rock of the 60's and 70 years back. Some will feel reminiscent of plates of button or Humble Pie, especially for "Girl is on my Mind" and "10 am Automatic". "StackShot Billy" is a pure blues in the old Mississippi-style, the voice of Dan Auerbach sounds sometimes very "black", his guitar playing is at its best. Impressive are also the tempo changes of drummer Patrick Carney. Blue Rock seems to be back "in". Similar jet - but "Get Born" is much more rock - couple the Black Keys old blues elements with modern rock music. What came out of it, can be heard.
