Installation via Stick & Surf? No way, nothing is happening. Also of note in the brief appearance of the stick as drive: no, there is no drive.
So download the latest drivers for Windows 7 64 bit from the AVM side, started setup, stick plugged.
Allegedly, he installs the device driver software is now successful, but some time later the message "Unable to install, no driver software found". Toll.
From the Device Manager, "Update Driver" on there. Automatically goes nothing, no drivers found.
Manually specify the path where the driver is charged down. Now you go, successfully installed. Device Manager now shows "how does it work" and the right driver version.
But it found no WLAN device. Clicking on the link monitor displays only "No connection". It is also listed a single local area network, although here 7 ... 9 networks are usually active. Obviously the wireless receiver not working.
In short, many have tried, back and forth. The fact remains that installation is only cumbersome and not as promised, WLAN transceiver does not go. I put back on the old stick, I also immediately reconnecting.
Apparently not an isolated case in the product. Therefore, going back and am now a product from another vendor test.
Supplement after a few days:
After a drive from another vendor was not working just as it was no longer lying on the stick.
It was due to the firewall ZoneAlarm. One has this completely uninstall it before installing Stick, then works the stick. After the stick has then connected to the router, you can install ZoneAlarm again.
Only: Hardly a "normal" buyers come to this solution - and AVM has neither in the manual nor in the FAQs on this potential problem down - which should however be widespread.
I assume that the stick itself has been fully functional and was sentenced innocent. Nevertheless, the fact remains that the majority of buyers will be left here alone helpless.
