Symphonic Star Trek by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra is the absolute Oberhammer! The name part of "Pops" irritated, but it is a full-featured, highly successful, privately held Symphony Orchestra. The modern well accentuated by Erich Kunzel arrangements are unsurpassed to this day. These are often musically colorful and exciting to listen than the originals. I also find it totally strong, that were built between the pieces some special sound effects from Star Trek. Who does not know this frightens you. The whole sound is captured in an unparalleled sound quality. The whole shebang. You have to understand that Erich Kunzel was among the pioneers who experimented with digital recording technology and true surround sound. He let his music already recorded digitally, as there was only analog output devices like record & tape. Lucky for Telefunken Dekka (Teldec / Telarc) that after the introduction of CD finally able to publish in full sound extent his works. All CDs of Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops are a great experience and for the friends of symphonic music is an absolute must. The originals can Erich Kunzel not replace the collector. Who loves symphonic music, soundtracks or Star Trek, should have this part of the range. But be careful: The sound is addictive! I started with Symphonic Star Trek and now already own 15 CDs by Erich Kunzel and the Cicinnatti Pops and also in the collections of my friends the number of its CDs is constantly growing. I can only recommend items, to hear well in the other CDs. Even in classical music they are great! Erich Kuncel and the Cincinnati Pops went down in music history because their recording of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" (with real cannons and church bells) so perfectly succeeded in sound and recording techniques that slice the dozen speakers killte. To date, the CD is wearing a red warning. , , , I do not know why it is the Star Trek creators their fans make so difficult to hear the sound tracks. It took 20 years to the soundtrack of the first original TV series (with Kirk and Spok) was published and until today there is no complete collection of original soundtracks. To date, very idle for the collector to find the individual CD somewhere. The problem probably lies in the different composers and orchestras, which are at various music publishers under contract. As a result, many felt called replay the music, usually more bad than good. There was a lot of bad plagiarism in vinyl, which are unfortunately still offered in part to Low Budget CDs. For Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops definitely this warning does not apply, which are high-end Quality.
