Bombastic picture hammer optics!

The TV is now available for about a week with me. The TV has been acquired as a result of circumstances not exceptional at my favorite store (Amazon). Nevertheless, I would like the inclined, potential customers here to give my impression of the device:

As a preface:. The TV is not alone is DVB-C signal is coming from a settop box, in between is still hanging an AV Receiver with 5.1, BlueRay and DVD will be fired over a HTPC and for games, there's a X360, so the sound I, the internal tuner, PVR etc. can not say anything. The pitch is 3.5m.

1. Clouding
The old grief at Samsung. My 40A615 did not have this problem. In the meantime stand here as a replacement of the Samsung Series 4, which had the full program; Flashlights, Clouding and a black that one may well call rather gray.
The 55D6500 has on the first night Flashlights left, with the right Flashlights were so strong that I could see this still good at Battlestar Gallactica even when the indirect light in darkening of the image portion (eg by a person). Last night I got the room completely darkened and again the homogeneity of the black image viewed: Unbelievable! The Flashlights are still slightly visible, but they have declined, and so far that I can say the picture is now homogeneous to 95%. Battlestar Gallactica now makes really fun :) In this respect, not on the first day resent the halos, just a couple of days have the TV in the operation and see if it does not improve.

2. The image "per se"
Colours are Samsung typical "colorful". On HTPC I have straightened out these means of hardware calibration (Spyder). Otherwise, the black is really black. Although I have been to the effect my A series as well, this here Samsung has an entirely different yardstick. Even at night in almost complete darkness, the black is black and blends into the frame. Especially with space scenes makes the black with thin frames (I behind the TV wall, on which it depends, softly lit so you can see the outline of the TV) movie / series to a real experience. It is so, so'd float the image in the air. the bright (or dark) madness.
The picture for SD is presented very well. It is still out of focus, but the TV makes the best of it. Show HD sources, which the Samsung can. Razor sharp, the image is liquid (all MotionPlus and otherwise. Verschlimmbesserer are on, the TV is powered but the HTPC with 50Hz, which comes closest to the 24p). In spite of the settings I have no Microruckler. Blue Rays are a dream on the TV. Bombastic image. Even if I kick the plasma followers to his feet, but the picture is not worse than in comparable plasma and it does not flicker (I'll perceive flicker, but that is dependent on individuals, not all fall on the).

3. Smart Hub / else. Features / Contents
A nice gimmick. Thanks to Wi-Fi and many configuration options simply to "rewire" :). The apps are not the fastest, but do their job. The Web browser, however, is to control fiddly with the FB. Samsung, please QWERTZTastatur for Andriod app upgrade. Then that is also more of a pleasure than a cramp! Skype I have not tried in the absence of a webcam.
For 3D I can not comment because I have the glasses is missing, but which is soon to land on the shopping list. Switching to 3D from 2D and 3D Side by Side to dominated the TV but as far as I can tell without glasses, jerky synonymous nothing.
With regard to delivery, I must criticize the remote control: Since the A series, this has haptic my opinion to deteriorate. Was always replaced by the Harmony (the D6500 was not entered on 14/05/2011 in the Database).

4. Samsung and Servie
I had to do with my A-Series with the service from Samsung (in conjunction with Amazon as a dealer). What can I say, repairing (or the contractor in the Frankfurt aM) was fast, reliable and also very nice and everything was resolved to my satisfaction. Therefore, again, the step to Samsung.

5. Power Consumption
Subsequently even with a power meter off: (never Hintergrnudbeleuchtung slightly higher) With my settings TV consumes 95W evening, a day about 105W.

Again briefly summarized:
+ Bombastic image
+ Black Level
+ Quiet because no active cooling
+ Bombastic appearance, even as 55 "it acts not monstrous.
+ Operation is logical and is well out of hand
+ Equipment is plentiful, even if I do not need much of it because of my peripherals
+ Decent service in case of problems

+/- Initially Clouding, has with me but improved within a few days.
+/- Smart Hub yet. In its beginnings But has potential.

- Control of the FB of the web browser

This TV does not only the female sex by the bombastic and unobtrusive appearance appease, but also lets the man's heart when it comes to technology and gadgetry image quality racing. Therefore I a strong buy recommendation!
