After a family tragedy, Joakim moved with his wife and two children Aludden in Öland. This is not happiness but a new drama that is waiting in the meadow. This tragedy adds a ghost in the long series of those that has hosted the Aludden house since its construction. This house could bring bad luck ... The story of his dead alternates with narrative viewpoints Joakim, the interviewer, Tilda, which is none other than the niece of Gerlof and Henrik, a burglar. Past and present as the various protagonists will join course for the outcome of this well-crafted plot.
"The echo of the dead" is perhaps my favorite album of the author. I particularly liked the desolate world of this single-sided home in the storm. The supernatural atmosphere gives a unique charm to the story without overcome the plot.
