"Halfway To Sanity" was / is probably pretty hard to come by in Germany. That the 1987 album is quite used to the sound of some songs ("I Lost My Mind", "I'm not Jesus") sounds a little "Ramones- foreign". In their creative phase, the Ramones have in the 80s quite their old style ( fun surf punk a la Beach's Boys + punk rock) lost. From a further development of the band could speak, however, I believe that the 4 guys from New York who is trying too hard to adapt to the general rock music taste of the 80s. Many say that the "Halfway To Sanity" LP was one of the poorer of the Ramones. You have done better, that is clear, but also several good songs are available, some who remember the old times Ramones-: "I Wanna Live" is one of the best Ramones- songs "Bop 'till you drop" and "Garden of Serenity" are known by the best-of plates, "Go Lil 'Camaro Go" and "A Real Cool Time" go quickly into his ear, "Bye Bye Baby" is for me one of the most beautiful love songs of the Ramones! Actually only three real bad songs, six good songs and the rest mediocre!
