After having read the book completely Call, the title does not make any sense silent. No atmosphere of surveillance is created, the writer hardly touches the topic at all. The story Develops very slowly if it is being driven forward at all. The Protagonists are absolutely flat and liveless. The author himself loose in unrevealing, profanatory inner monologues. He Maintains a deplorable style of writing from Cover to Cover - short sentences, spiked with made-up words are onomatopoetic his trademark. The course of the story and the conflicts created are completely Call forseeable.
The only thing Surveillance makes me think about is why one thing able to fill six pages of the book with positive reviews of several newspapers.
If you are interested in this genre get a copy of George Orwell's 1984 - Surveillance is stuporous hackwork.
