I then me - a 3/4 yrs later - decided on the successor AHS 70-34, since the handling should be improved and the weight was shrunk (15%) and I was quite satisfied with the cutting power of its predecessor, yes. The hedge trimmer I have now tried yesterday and made the following experience with it (hornbeam hedge):
Positives:
- Optically good workmanship, makes a stable impression
- Handling was actually improved (is better in the hand, lower weight, easier handling)
- Runs fairly quiet
- Quick stop
Negatives:
- Significantly worse sectional image than its predecessor (the branches are separated more torn than clean, partially was reworking with pruning shears required)
- At power significant delay until the scissors starts. That costs a lot of strength. Especially when one considers stretched the already heavy hedge trimmer at a very low hedge and then also have to wait until the thing finally starts
Due to the negative points I have sent back the hedge trimmer again.
