First the positive:
- The installation went slightly out of hand. The radio was connected and installed quickly. 2 hours must. You already plan, but that's totally OK
- The radio adapts almost perfectly to the fittings of the vehicle. One might externally believe that it is here is an original, almost all fits together.
- The GPS mouse I could even install hidden, and she had yet to receive about 1-2 minutes..
- The CAN bus works perfectly. The steering wheel remote control brings all the features that it also has the original radio and, moreover, is freely configurable.
- Videos run smoothly and in good image quality.
- Calls on BT's OK. I understand and am understood by the interlocutors, even without an external micro. The fact that the balance of the contacts takes long and is performed again with each BT-registration because no separate memory is available, the evaluation of this category diminishes somewhat.
- Overall, the sound is fine. By the equalizer can be adjusted individually to the sound when the fixed sound guidelines are not enough. Full and clear benefits both classical and rock from the pit.
Now for the very disturbing facts:
- Navigation Software: Actually, the supplied software iGO is quite good, but once you try on the official website of the software manufacturer, to drive an update and turns at whose support in failure, you get notified that this software an unlicensed version is thus no support is possible. It is the word "piracy" like. Addressed the seller then, will be disputed and you get all of this a map update available. Very professional !!! I have not tried yet, what happens when I confront the seller times with the error messages from Win CE that have already surfaced several times during navigation and the radio or the navigation brought to freeze.
- I've been trying to bring a different Navi-SW via SD card up and running, for example by Sygic. These need a device ID for activation, which can read the software actually automatically from the device. In my unit came "0000000000", with which the software could not handle. A Device ID 10 times "0"? Very strange!
- The radio reception not up to scratch. For some frequencies it comes to additional interference caused by electrical impulses from the outside, suggesting a poor ground within the device (motherboard).
- As soon as you make an incorrect key is pressed on the radio (eg PTY scan), all previously stored radio stations are overwritten.
- According to "sheet" to 99 radio stations are stored. That is beyond my comprehension how this should go. I can store 12 for FM transmitter, and the same for AM.
- Will MP3s from SD card or USB flash drive is one, while running the navigation software in the foreground, one can well wait for half a minute, until the next title is played.
- MP3 tags are not recognized, at least I still have not figured out how the artist and the album a title be visible. On all my other players (Android, iPod, PC software) are the tags displayed perfectly.
- The Referred digital instructions not available, only the start screen.
- Calendar or calculator? Who needs something on the car radio? Since the mobile phone is fast at hand.
- 2- or 3-zone POP is very impractical: Once you as a big picture, for example, puts the Navi besides the radio screen, the navigation software will be unreadable because they distorted (compressed) is shown.
- What I could not test due to a lack in my car functions was the rear-view camera and the DVR function to record while driving. Likewise, I did not test the TV function due to lack of antenna.
Conclusion:
A typical China Product: Slow functions, software not licensed, poor internal processing. I have regretted it, to create this radio. There are now much better radios for a lower price on the market at that of branded manufacturers. The fit on the specific vehicle not make it up for that one later only has trouble and driving pleasure goes flutes because the entertainment is not satisfactory.
