I had decided on the SX60 and this, in the consumer electronics store on site for 529 - bought.
With the BQ of photos I was, however, quite unhappy. Compared I got my little Sony compact camera towards better pictures.
I then ordered the SX50 for comparison after a week and compared with it two cameras each have identical recordings.
The result was that the images of the SX50 is always the better, more detailed and colorful talk and sharper were (as already mentioned - I am a layman and did all the shooting in Auto mode with no digital zoom).
But since I was still not convinced 100%, whether because the SX50 is the right camera for me, I have, after I returned the SX60, the Sony DSC HX 400 V bought.
I wanted to do it again compare the Sony with the Canon SX50.
The result was that all recordings of Sony were better compared to the Canon!
Since I find the user interface of the Canon much more convenient, I would really prefer to keep this. But the picture quality is truly the most important thing.
Therefore, I can as a layman for me just say that I have the results of the SX 50 was clearly better than the SX60. The results of Sony, however, the Canon SX50 clearly surpassed.
The consultant in said electronics store had given me to understand clearly when returning the SX60, SX60 that not one of the best and clear the Sony and Panasonic gave preference.
With regard to the quality and feel of the camera body, I found the SX60 best, then the Sony, the SX50. Ease of use and clarity of functions I found best at the SX60, the SX50 and the Sony.
Conclusion: As for me, the quality of the images (I've tested almost exclusively outside shots, just indoors because I need the camera for travel) is the most important, I have clearly opted for the Sony. Although me the menu navigation of the Canon has much better liked.
