I bought the traps, because we have some field mice and shrews in our composter and hardly earthworms since they were apparently already eaten.
I put the case directly to the compost, and around it!
The facts:
I have directly on the compost heap are two traps and some around it ...
I now had two field mice in the traps in two days.
The first was dead, the only question is, how long did it take !?
Because:
The second mouse was caught by the trap with the rump, then this was still alive ... the same mouse was then put up with the front legs to the second trap and was caught on the head. When I wanted to dispose of the mouse on the following day, I had to find horror that this, was still alive, even after two Fallen! This need not be !!!
I have the mouse then freed from their torments and will not set the traps again!
My panacea is still: The use mousetraps that it already gave to grandma's day, made of wood and with NEM ordinary Bums behind (then let up exercise the necessary care and caution) and nutella as bait. Who in there is no mouse, the mouse has no problem !!!
