I was a bit skeptical about whether the 1 Watt Cree of liteXpress X-Tactical 103 because you can come at all - especially since I was rather disappointed by another 1 Watt Cree LED flashlight which the brightness was concerned.
The liteXpress X-Tactital 103 but those fears dissipated even with the first power immediately.
The reflector ensures that they loose my 3 Watt Philips can defy the mode "High". In "Low" mode it is still brighter than my past 1 Watt flashlight.
A small (but really only very small) familiarization necessitated the switch concept.
By pressing the switch, the lamp in the final of the last selected main operating modes (white or red / green / blue) turned on. That was last selected the white brightness level "Low" is not "saved" - only that last mode "white" was active.
A long hold (about 3 seconds) the switch can switch between the two main modes. As long as you repeatedly pressed the switch within 1 second, you can through the different modes of the respective operating mode switch. If you wait between the last pressure on the switch a little more than 1 second, the lamp will turn off.
In the "white" are the following modes:
-High (Full brightness with 162 lumens, up to 4h burn time)
-Low (About half brightness with 78 lumens, up to 8h burn time)
STROBE (fixed frequency)
In the "RGB", the following modes are available:
-Blue
-Green
-Red
-Red SOS
When the red / green / blue LEDs I find it very convenient that you have to have color screens while that you put in front of the reflector / screwed. But the brightness of the three 5mm LEDs is naturally lower.
Topic Reflector: The reflector is _not_ adjusted.
The lamp is otherwise with about 135g incl. Batteries not too heavy, in the nice laid-out packaging the batteries (lithium batteries type CR123A 3V each) and an arm sling and a small, adequate operating instructions are included.
I find the liteXpress X-103 is a super Tacticsl LED flashlight and shows that you do not necessarily need more lights. Small deduction in the B-note (which does not change my 5-star rating changes) is in my view inappropriately fitted eyelet for armsling not the battery cover special just above. On the side of the lamp At least I, for my part, therefore, have in holding the lamp always the eyelet in the way that pushes me in the palm of your hand. I had found the eye in the battery lid meaningful.
At first I thought also that the batteries could interfere with me - my Phillips runs with three AAA batteries, which can be bought at every corner. Here, however, the reason is also lying, why liteXpress loose with the brightness with. Nevertheless, it could not hurt in frequent use one set of spare batteries at home / to have her.
Who is looking for a bright, compact LED flashlight - whether for outdoor activities, in the glove compartment in the car or just as a flashlight is well served with this LED flashlight home. Only those who the lamp much and often used should be aware of the not necessarily super market batteries aware and pack accordingly.

After perhaps a total of 30 minutes of operation the green LED is already defective since today. For me, the colorful LEDs are not relevant, but the impression of quality has suffered in this way - the assessment I have therefore written down to 4 stars. The supposed advantage of unnecessary color discs is so now more than possible disadvantage out if you need the color features.

Meanwhile, the switch periodically stops responding to the pressure pulses. You hear it still "clack", but nothing happens (as the lamp on / off, change function, ...).
