Interpol have repeatedly called revival of post-rock in the style of Joy Division. I does not really matter where they are now classifies, what matters is the 11 tracks on her debut album, "turn on the bright lights". And what a debut! As a setter on this truly outstanding album briefly some songs are enumerated: The opening track "Untitled" starts with a symphony of floating-style guitar sounds, then uses the very dominant bass and see you added almost in the Valhalla of rock. "Obstacle 1" brings a back down, but by no means to rudely. The tart, distinctive voice of singer and the permanent "ringing" Lead Guitar Staccato digs straight to memory and can no longer be a going on. "Say hello to the angels": full of surprises, with a pounding beat and beautiful humming bass solo. Again "Obstacle", this time "Part II", and again a great song. Beautiful melody, rhythm and depth, not least, again a lot of bass. And then there's the beautifully melancholic "Stella was a diver on She was always down." Who can not be put off by the long title, experienced an aesthetic and emotive aria on the turntable deep down in the heart over and over again happening. "I love you Stella! Stella I love you!" Something beautiful like this album, there are rare. Sorry! But if the but were so, we would know hardly appreciate such great musicians as Interpol, right?
