I operate with 6 eneloop AA. It is interesting that the flap of the battery compartment has a cutout, thus the batteries are visible, but can not fall out. Back at the bottom left side has a button labeled test the lamp. This turns out to be rather than battery level indicator. Besides namely 5 LED's are and the fuller the battery, the more LEDs light up. After less than one minute duration of the first LED lamp was gone. After about 4 minutes then only the last LED remained. Nevertheless, the lamp visible yet full power. Is there a problem with hoer's battery? 1.2V to 1.5V?
Damkit I could still live, but allows the intensity of the lamp to clear after about 20-30 minutes. However, I have it operated for testing even at full brightness. Becoming stronger, the light until it just glows. The whole process then pulls herself up to 1.5h. I personally would have preferred that lamp has your full brightness over from me only 1h and then is gone. So, it is difficult in the photo area to illuminate an area and then get started. Well, it's a video light, but even here it is annoying when the light is continuously decreasing slowly, and unfortunately quite early.
Due to the very low price and the 3 Bays participate in are, I want to give the lamp anyway with tooth and nail to 4 stars. Namely stand parallel to my wishlist HDV Z96 LED Photo and video light but unfortunately with approximately 180 EUR will cost a multiple of the CN160.
It should be noted yet that the Blitzshuh not compatible with the Sony a65, a77, and certainly many other Alphas and even with a Sony HDR-PJ780 Camcorder. Who wants to screw the lamp on a tripod and this has a 1/4 "connection, requires no extra hot shoe adapter. Does not quite emerged from the image, the hot shoe adapter on the lamp is screwed. I did not know that and I have to Vibesta Universal hotshoe Adapter - 1/4 "/" Female "bought hotshoe. This depends on a quick release plate and therefore I can with its own hot shoe quickly solve the lamp and on / dismount.
