I purchased this product with closed eyes by reading the reviews. I currently have an old toaster Philips plastic and wanted something better especially that emphasizes the high toast. In wanting to lift the knob up I burned the thumb against the stainless steel part that is extremely hot. With children, I find that this device is dangerous so I returned to Amazon who repaid me immediately: bravo Amazon. Finally I will keep my old Philips basic plastic that remains cold and whose wire is much longer than what Russell forcing me to put the device on a chair! My rating is severe as it normally grid bread but to compensate the enthusiasm a bit over Internet for a device that is nothing extraordinary in the end.
