Still worth mentioning:
- The white plastic ball is in one piece and not welded together of 2 hemispheres. It thus has no disturbing seam such. As the solar lamp Garden Joker 286013 solar lamp-Moonlight (by the way, compared unpleasant bluish light)
- The light is switched via a simple pressure switch (off and auto). Unfortunately, can not detect which mode is switched to. This makes the first charging not so easy. Namely advised to fully charge the ball with "off". Our ball was when delivered to "auto".
- The base of the ball is not black or dark as on the product photo, but whitish-transparent, but slightly higher than that of the small ball. This disrupts the visual appearance a little bit, if you side by side draped both lights.
- The base is fixed with screws - that makes a battery change a bit awkward.
- The balls are very light and therefore need to be secured to wind richer days if they have not been fixed. Otherwise one would have to then look like Easter eggs throughout the garden - you could also wait until dusk so;)
- The supplied "earth spikes" are really ridiculously short. No idea what the manufacturer was thinking. We have laid the lights on right, complained about pots, so that they remain reasonably sure are in place.
Update 2.5.13
We have left the two balls throughout the winter outdoors. In winter, the light duration varied from a few minutes to approximately 1.5 hours. Since the beginning of spring, the light duration is much longer again. Longer even than in its first operating days last summer. For example, yesterday lit the large 30cm-ball night to 1 clock. If this remains the case, given the ball a solar rating improvement from us and indeed to 4 full stars.
Update 06/12/15
Last summer, have given up the batteries of the smaller ball and had to be replaced. Unfortunately, the bottom of the mirror ball was no longer removable. The larger sphere broke down a few days ago. A gust of wind swept them from their mount system. The impact could jump the embrittled from sunlight white plastic ball. For the price my life as a whole is too low. The star number thus reduced to 2 (= I do not like)
