The press is a bit more sophisticated in the use of, I needed a few tries until I figured out was the right technique. It takes a little longer than with a conventional press, and then also has the backing - the smoothest and most hard cutting board - with garlic juice soaked. However, the Leifheit model can score with very easy cleaning; do you get the most garlic remains out with a knife by a few times pulling the cutter across the front and back of the press. The rest is done with me the dishwasher, as I said.
Conclusion: Very robust, easy to clean garlic press, but a bit more difficult to use than a conventional model.
