The installation under Windows 8.1 (x64) is very easy. Plugging and Windows applies the driver automatically. WLAN Internet should be available at this time. After about 10 seconds the adapter is ready to use and you need only infect and possibly assign IP addresses a network cable.
In Windows, the adapter integrates a full network card in the Network and Sharing Center.
Once installed is free connection and disconnection without any problem, even if you can connect the network with the adapter and then infects it via USB.
On the software side so two thumbs up!
As for the speed: When copying more about 350MB big files the transfer rates are permanently over 90 MB / s and reach you in tip even 115 MB / s. Source was a Windows 7 PC with onboard Gigabit LAN (C2D system with Realtek LAN) and a SATA II hard drive. Target Ultrabook with adapter and SSD.
Again, two thumbs up! Fast hard drive of the source is not likely.
The workmanship is good and to evaluate for the price just as well. The design is reminiscent of Apple, however, the less text had it printed ;-)
That to me is not having the typical adapter for Ethernet two status LEDs to beleiben honestly could not care less. Have there early anyway it looked only in exceptional cases.
Can the adapter anyone who wants a Windows ultrabook has no network and fast LAN needs.
An USB 2.0 I have not tested the adapter (still) (my Ultrabook has no more 2.0). But should there too, albeit more slowly, work.
