The story of a 10 year old boy (about) rather ill-suited, shy or athletic or intellectual, and which gradually makes its mark in life. Humorous way "Le petit Nicolas" or "Adrian Mole."

My nephew loved to 9 years; he eagerly awaits each new episode.

This is certainly not a classic Huckleberry Finn, but worth the Petit Nicolas. I must clarify that my comment refers to the American original. Those who read English may seek "Wimpy Kid" on amazon.com and see that most readers are delighted and give 5 stars.
