This lens hood of 'BV & Jo' is not exactly round (but only minimal and it does not affect the quality of the photographs). The lens cap keeps unsure because iris has no grooves or other depressions in which the lid might get caught or which give the cap more resistance, to sit firmly. The cover now hangs not loose or super light on the control panel, but it could still happen that when the lens including the aperture and the lid is in a bag and anything unfavorable press in the bag against the lid, the lid may detach and the lens of the lens is scratched and damaged.
+ Reduces / prevents light spaces, thereby images are high-contrast and sharper.
+ In one piece.
+ Inside the lens hood is matt and does not shine.
+ Matches optically the lens.
+ In fact, well finished.
- Lens cap keeps not sure in the diaphragm.
- As an alternative to Canon ES-62 Lens Hood still quite expensive.
But if you want to save 6 Euros and a georndete pocket leads, which I can recommend this panel actually already. But since it is a bit messy place in my pocket and my safe keeping in my pocket is very important and I do not off the panel permanently and wants to screw it again, I have returned this lens hood and instead the original Canon bought ES-62 Lens Hood, with which I'm really pleased.
3 stars.
