Had ordered me these ink cartridges because they worked without any problems in a friend with an approximately 1 year old MFC-J4410DW. Did I then ordered a DCP J4110DW without starter cartridge for a great price. Cartridges used: "Recognize impossible you put the starter cartridges". So once ordered a printer, this time with starter cartridges. Initialized with the starter cartridges both printers. Both printer firmware "J" updated and used a new set of cartridges. The old one was not so recognized. The new starter cartridges were now empty. Result: One of two identical printers recognizes the cartridge, the other not. So abgebastelt chips from the starter cartridge and it tinkered on this. The then recognized the second printer also. Whether so, however, the ink level indicator works I do not know.
Proposed solutions here from the reviews on Amazon: Buy Chipresetter and umbasteln the chip and reset or Cartridges with the latest chip generation buy eg "ESMOnline"
Both I have not tried it yet. For the new firmware from Brother these cartridges are probably inappropriate. A sentence I had to throw away. Again seal with adhesive tape and stored until the vice tinkered cartridges are empty not. Dirty finger and dirty floor as a result. Not recommendable.
