By 600 EX RT has sufficient illumination even in completely dark, large rooms in order to photograph all can without caring constantly have to move. I use it with my Canon 600D - everything runs like clockwork. As I have been photographing professionally with the camera above events, was very important to me that the flash is quickly ready for taking pictures. Since I was with my old Speedlite 380 EX unfortunately not so satisfied. The batteries with the old were quickly empty much faster than with the Speedlite 600 EX. It has been my experience that one with ordinary batteries 4 more batteries should have at photographing more than 6 hours here because the lightning actually takes a lot of energy in order to flash good can (unfortunately I have bisauf my old flash no comparative figures ..)! Personally, I've bought the flash still Ansmann Accu batteries (with max. Power of 2500 mAh) + charger. These are on the one hand more than ordinary batteries and keep the other hand, much longer. So far I am never so embarrassed.
Another plus is the beautiful menu that is to operate in the dark.
A deficit of the unit: it overheat during prolonged use. The functionality of the device, however, was not limited thereby, it is easy on the housing front, hot and should not be touched there.
Conclusion:
Despite overheating at the front of the flash with constant use I give the 600 EX RT 5 Stars.

Update 23/05/2013
Lightning still works like new - flawlessly. However, mid way gave the following problem: The flash has because of its severity - so I suspect - the flash holder deformed by my 600D so that I had to be send the housing for repair, since flash was no longer running. The flash holder was exchanged for just under 60 euros with a new (hopefully stable) and since then everything works again. If the new flash holder the flash does not hold, however, I will mention this in the review! For now I put the "blame" pointing to the case of 600 D.
