BioShock: Infinite (uncut) - [PC] (computer game)

Customer Review

First of all I would like to get rid of that the game would get me a percentage rating of about 90%, that is 4.5 stars.
Since 4,5 stars are not possible, and there are already so many 5 star reviews, the game only in the sky
praise, I have decided on 4 stars. The reasons follow.

The game I have not bought via Amazon, but bought a Steamkey about F2P and then download the full game on release day. Price was less than 35 euros.

I have the game at "normal" through and it takes about 11 hours. And I'm not just by running, but have tried to explore every nook and gather as much information as possible.

Positive:

- The story fascinated me totally. For those who has played the game, and also the last scene after the credits
yet brought behind him, has all parts fit together like a puzzle and refer the other two Bioshock games with a. Who still has a few questions unanswered, should this simple googling times. Especially in English-speaking network, there are some great explanations / interpretations to the story, which should answer the last questions.

- The main characters, most notably Elizabeth are very well prepared and will stay with me for a long time in memory.

- Details and design of the game world are great and the mix of paintings and comic style fits.

- The skylines as a new element in a shooter to make, at least in the later stages a lot of fun and offer variety

- We experience many little things (for example, the scene with the coin toss.) That really make sense until after the playthrough.
So you even after you quit the game much more than it is worth pondering is.

- The dialogues (especially between Elizabeth and Booker) are very entertaining and leave you wanting more. It almost always hopes that one of the two to another call starts or even says something.

- You get to many different types of background information, eg via the Voxophone, radio, conversations of passersby.
Projectors, announcements, movie stations, etc. This encourages them to explore all possible.

- Interaction with Elizabeth (she throws found money or ammo and Health to crack locks and much more.) Gives the player a little more commitment to the to be rescued.

- The Vigorkräfte are not absolutely necessary, the fighting spice but sometimes good, and offer alternative ways to cope with the opponents. Also makes their use quite a bit of fun. However, one forgets this often easy if, like me, several other shooter is used where there simply is no such thing. Because you will then also often reminded of the game.

- The game experience was just fantastic for me. The play through and explore the story has captivated me so that many of the points listed below, who I did not like, simply fade. Therefore, the above-mentioned rating of 90%.

What I did not like:

- Use the F key for pick up and throw objects and make money. Above all, "the Bodies" and dispel of desks and cabinets degenerates eventually made permanent in round knock on the F key. There I would have preferred, objects that I need money and are automatically collected when "drĂĽberlaufen".

- Enemy models, passers models, faces, furniture and objects are repeated unfortunately remarkably often. Here I would have expected a bit more variety.

- The constant money throw from Elizabeth (which is actually a nice feature) annoying sometime just yet, because it is constantly repeated.

- Despite a good hardware facilities in both Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 ran liquid at the same resolution and highest settings, I had at Bioshock Infinite often caused problems with stuttering and tearing. Since I have the latest Nvidia drivers that were issued especially for this game loaded, has somewhat disturbed me.

- Some of the textures are pixilated or blurry. There are very angular faucets and other things that fall in spite of the very pretty graphic single negative eye.

- Weapon selection and weapon skins indeed fit to play, but meet my taste not really. Only the Revolver
I liked it here very much. Both the use and the design.

- The shooter mechanics is compared to other shooters in my opinion rather simple and undemanding. If you only consider this point, and the game is indeed now times a shooter, there are much better representative here. For example, Batman, Crysis, Far Cry 3, etc. But these games have other shortcomings and not such a brilliant story.

- Interaction of Elizabeth with the same area as this I had previously seen a video of the developer and was thrilled. Elizabeth was very autonomously interact with their environment and this should not be said to be scripted. Example was the Battleship Bay (beach). But when I then played the scene itself, Elizabeth has now behave exactly like in the video. Also in other places in the game. So for me, this will still be scripted or at least makes no difference. Otherwise, this is of course a nice feature, but not what I expected.

- The replay value is rather low in my opinion, if you have experienced the story once. Because I liked the other shooter gameplay herb eaters, the game is finished then just after 11h. But I find the purchase price, even though I have paid a little less but still a bit too high. Other shooters have at least even a multiplayer mode in which you can spend tens of hours, if you want them. This is unfortunately missing completely here. Although I would like to try the skylines in multiplayer.

Conclusion: In spite of some points that have not quite so well-liked, the game has me very excited and cast a spell over me afterwards about the complete Time. (After more than half I found the negative points actually even more serious ... but the story and the overall picture have finally everything else into perspective.)

Strong buy recommendation from me.
