Caution in these SD card capacity indication is probably false

I bought exactly the same MicroSD card on ebay. But instead of 64GB, it has only a capacity of 8 GB, but deceives 64GB before. Writes about the first 8 GB also write almost into nothingness. Ie only when reading reveals that instead of the expected data only refuse returns (all ones or all zeros). If I had not initially copied 32GB of another SD card to this, the problem would probably not have noticed for a long time.

That this card a fake one also sees to it that they called SDHC - SDXC instead. Technically makes no difference in principle and you can use an SDXC card with FAT32 file system - as long as all involved hardware and Sofwaret components allow. Standard Compliant such a SDHC card but does not. As counterfeiters have left or sloppy either a legal loophole.

One can the negative reviews on memory cards here as well give ebay faith, even if it is only a few. Because only a few people ever have the technical knowledge to recognize these cards as fake and not merely as defective or incompatible. With H2testw from Heise however, it is testable for any non-technical users.
