This map is based on a chip Asmedia ASM1062. It works under Linux, except ... There seems to be a problem in the pilot of these chips, which brings many difficulties. We wanted to use the two eSATA ports for connecting two multi-disc packages (so-Port multiply function) RAID. It went wrong (random disappearance of certain discs). We have not lost any data, thankfully.
Finally, with caution based cards ASM1062 Linux with port-mutiplier. It should work, the reality is less so.
