Actually I do not like the Weill songs. In Beck but the album was by chance on the CD player. Once I have the recording of Rebekka Bakken, I heard out of interest items, and was pleasantly surprised. The negative judgment of some previous speakers, I can not agree, on the contrary. I also find it very refreshing that for example will not be delivered again the same hundertfuffzigste boring cover version in "Mack The Knife", but a very own new and modern interpretation arises. The smell wet asphalt I do not miss this, which is indeed summoned at any second-rate reissue of songs. Also I like voice and approach of Theo Bleckmann, both fits perfectly the elegance of the Quartet. The same applies to the game of Tom Arthurs on trumpet and flugelhorn. Overall, an excellent and sensitive recording!
