I have two other chargers, Duracell and Auchan (do not laugh at you, he and his batteries are still functioning very well after many years!). The new kid pleasantly surprised me for several reasons:
- Light and very useful LCD display;
- Unrelated sites: we can load any number of batteries, any size and any type at once;
- Choice of the load current (0.5 A or 1 A) by pressing a single button, allowing to adapt to the needs (to prolong the battery or load faster?);
- Ability to unload / load to 100% in order to know exactly the "health" of the batteries, as the charger indicates the number of mAh provided.
I regret some things:
- No cover to protect the interior from dust when not in use;
- Zippers and spring does not seem to me to be a phenomenal quality and are handled with care if we want to prolong the battery charger;
- The shrill and painful sound that sounds when the load is finished to a battery;
- No manual in French and advice on battery maintenance (differences between Li-ion and NiMH, how do the last, impact loads and 100% discharges, true / false on pre-conceived ideas , etc.).
- The number of mAh does not remain displayed after charging is complete, so we do not know exactly battery power if we do not throw an eye on it regularly.
Batteries that I submitted to the test (NiMH, recent and old, 750 mAh, 2000 mAh, 2400 mAh, AA and AAA) have not seemed warm than with my other chargers.
It only remains to see the reliability of the product over time.
