This cable my Samsung Galaxy Note II invites at 1800 mA, more can not the phone. In other cables of this length I have never reached more than 900 mA, with many far less than that. Outer thickness is not as critical, my thickest cable brings over 460 mA, which is hard to refuse performance.
What the mechanical stability concerns (also a weak point of most cable): the here has robust plug (not soft plastic crap) and boots, the cable is plastic coated and acts pretty much indestructible. There's just much more rigid than others, but a death you must die precisely. :-)
I'll report back if my tester create the house to destroy the cable in the coming months. Just as it seems it should be difficult for them, and these are professionals ...
Addendum after 9 months: The cable has been proven not indestructible, which have my tester now occupied; when he has the microUSB plug only enough time confronting bending stresses eventually not making good contact more. This is normal and to be expected, but it's just not meant. But in my opinion that this is a very high quality cable that does not change.
