As we have dogs for over twenty years, I have to get out in all weathers. It rises as it were in the front half, and then pulls the rump with little effort on the heel. Very good on snow, and still pretty decent grip on ice. Had those things now a winter in use and can not detect any impairment. The material is sturdy and well made. Strong buy recommendation!
