I wanted to use the cable in my Ford Sound & Connect system. This also works, but only with the proviso that a simultaneous charging of the iPhone 3GS via USB is not possible. Too bad ... I'm going to now the more expensive Ford cable and hope it goes with it.
Edit: Go on with the Ford cable. So I do not recommend the cable.
