Unfortunately, I discovered when you first turn right a dead-pixels, which is not even happened to me at Samsung in 10 years. Also, I have to disagree, if here in part by a "razor-sharp image" is mentioned. Well, who previously had a CRT monitor or VGA playback is accustomed to like the picture that the Asus VH198D produced, be sharp. But it happens to be just only analog playback, no comparison to the digital DVI. Even with the native resolution I had a few minutes already eyes pinching together and noticed signs of wearing out. I also noticed a marked green / yellow color cast, I could not really fix by means of the NVIDIA Control Panel. I sent the monitor back on the same day because of the negative connotation for me was too big total.
In summary, I would say that the VH198D has a good price / performance ratio. For under 100, - Euro we must of course do not have big demands on a LED monitor. As a replacement or for the non-daily use like this product to be an affordable alternative in my view. But for long-term, daily use it is better to grab a little deeper into their pockets.
