The light of Osram LED Superstar 7.5W is brighter than in my previous 50W halogen spotlights, but also cooler. The term "extra warm tone" in my opinion is just marketing, I doubt that the Osram actually have 2700K light color, feel it is in any case more a cooler 3000K white, which for example makes the skin appear paler than halogen bulbs. In addition, the right front-mounted LEDs dazzle very strong, well regarded and dimmed side. The fact that there are multiple light sources creates a spot several shadow and the beam of light are a little different from GU10 halogen spotlights.
The dimming I tested with a Busch-Jaeger 6593U universal dimmer. The brightness, I could feel with this dimmer only about 30-40% down dim (other below 10% / brightness of a candle). The Osram gave dimmed also a humming noise. I guess mainly the dimming will be better with some other special LED dimmers - but other manufacturers show that it is actually also the primary intended for halogen lamps, Busch-Jaeger 6593U better.
Conclusion:
For The Living Room Like the light of Osram LED Superstar still not good enough, it is to be cooled and faded greatly. "Bestseller" the Osram are probably just because everyone knows the brand and the price is quite cheap - but others make a more beautiful and pleasant light.
Who is willing to pay a little more get the "Haled" GU10 spotlights the company CIVILIGHT CIVILIGHT Haled DGU10 WP01T7 LED spotlight 7W 300LM, dimmable, warm white, 36 ° beam, a luminous means, which can be really hardly be distinguished from the color representation nor of halogen. Here are the 2700K "warmer" than with Osram and with a color rendering index of Ra 92 achieve the Haled spots a color quality, as they achieved so far no other brand manufacturers (are normal in almost all LEDs Ra 80). The halogen-like reflector design with only one deep-seated light source appears considerably less. My recommendation so clear to the CIVILIGHT Haled spots.
