The Panasonic HX-WA10EG we returned test after a week.
The decisive factors were 4 points:
- The Kammera constantly takes a humming along on. This is clearly audible in quiet passages. Of course, that's with corresponding software to fix (with me Pinnacle). Only the overall tone is then dull. Through a test with another, the same camera I could convince myself that this is model-specific and not only with regard to a piece.
The point itself was for us the no-go and therefore also only one point. That just does not. One is reminded of Super8 times.
- Zomm has only one speed. That's pretty fast. I got used to in the SDR-SW10 to 2 speeds. This single rate of HX WA10EG acts in the film frantically. It is not possible therefore pure harmony in or out of.
By the position of the keys, it is hardly possible to zoom the image without blurring.
- Picture quality was not subjectively not great. Specifically, the image stabilizer weak.
- The cover of the SD card is hard to open. Since I use a card reader to see negative for my use.
After much research and a further test with a camera of a friend, we decided for the Panasonic HDC-SD40.
The has no hum, wariable zoom speed and a slightly better image stabilization. No Super camera but a good price / performance ratio.
