As I soon want to buy a 3D TV to me and I had read some reviews on the 3D Blu-ray players here at Amazon, it should now be this Toshiba. Especially since many other 3D BR player were evaluated as too loud and this seemed to be one of the few quiet BR player here. And since I had previously made smart on the Internet, whether you (of course at own risk) can switch region-free to Toshiba, I have purchased the player unceremoniously. The good price and reviews left me hope that I had made a good choice.
Well after reading some DVDs and Blu-Rays on the Toshiba have now looked at, I am sorry to say, to keep my enthusiasm but very limited. The upscaling of DVDs can in my eyes to be desired: the sharpness of my LG was doing better by far. Although one can in Toshiba's menu some settings (which I think is very good and I have also tested all) - but the picture quality of the LG remains m. E. unmatched. I have DVDs, where the edges even appear slightly blurred.
The quality of the Blu-Ray is good. But even with the Blu-Rays offered the LG little more depth and sharpness.
I find it annoying, it's inconvenient if you want to see something on a USB flash drive! For other devices, it is enough to simply stick to plug - and off you go (LG). Not so with the Toshiba. Here you have to go through the menu cumbersome approach for now.
But one thing is really true: the device is nice and quiet. :-) My old LG was however. ;-)
The 3D function I could wg. the lack of 3D TV not yet test. Currently I own the Sony KDL 46EX500.
All in all, me the player from Toshiba does not convince really, and I'll probably still buy another 3D BR player.
