I mentioned camcorders bought to the development of my newborn son to document something. Place yourself no special demands on image quality and the like. Basically, I find the camera as an entry model quite succeeded.
BUT: There is pure coincidence if the built-in SD slot recognize the memory card or not. Have countless memory card tried, sometimes going one day the same again not. Also, initializing the memory card in the camera (as described in the manual) is mostly me the error message "process is aborted because of an error" ended. And no, it is definitely not on the memory card, this function properly in other camcorders.
Conclusion: Cheap camcorder you can buy love, but surely never one without built-in memory. So you have at least one choice in case of failure of a storage facility.
