This "56/57 Complete Studio" is halfway to the integral (53 to 59)
business by Fresh Sound.
A formally impeccable full and music content of choice!
The orchestral size (reeds, cello, guitar ...) is innovative
for the time: it is the West Coast Jazz in his willingness to experiment
without taking too much cabbage.
Chico Hamilton managed it well: with the great Buddy Collette
above and with the young Eric Dolphy soon!
And cellist Fred Katz is certainly not the fifth
wheel carriage!
It is enjoyable to perfection and Chico Hamilton, subtle drummer makes
tribute to a master with his composition "Mr.Jo Jones.
