I have this metal detector (to the with different letter combinations, but always the same number of 3006 are at various retailers) from another dealer ordered. After unpacking it is found that the device looks pretty good and is also good in the hand. The many buttons are very confusing, so you absolutely must read the instruction manual. When the necessary settings and testing then comes the disenchantment: 1. In some places, is given as locating depth 70 cm (!!!) (at 20 cm coil diameter that would be a significant value), in fact there are 6-7 cm in exposed small objects such as rings or coins and about 10 cm at large iron parts. The 6-7 cm are then also in the manual. Can one speak of fraud here? 2. The unit will react to ferrous and nonferrous equally namely as non-ferrous (= material assignment function does not work) 3. The Tune knob brings only a minimal correction pointer. In any case, the display can not be set at zero. 4. The other buttons (Ground, Discrimination and Sensitivity) have no function, just for fun on the unit. I have certainly not noticed any function.
Conclusion: The device is rightly a toy for - as I have read in another review - 3 to 10-year-olds who want to turn a few knobs and rejoice when the device buzzes when you hold it to the radiator. For an amateur or even professional finder device is absolute junk. Chinese Billigstware halt. But for Prices from 60, it is a disgrace. I made in my youth with a few electronic components a metal detector, which went so well.
