First, remove the black tab protruding on the transmitter to remove the plastic that protects the battery (a CR032). Then plugs into a power outlet receiver (11,7x6,5x2,4 cm). Placed where we want the transmitter (9,3x4,5x1,7 cm) via a fairly thick double-sided tape and it's ready. Both devices are associated by default. In case of trouble, just stay hold 3 seconds on the melody button (the button will blink) then press the transmitter until the button stops flashing. At home I did not need this step. Everything worked directly.
And the revolution of this chime is his next touch that makes it super simple setting. One passes his finger in the middle of the receiver on the melody and melody button is changed. This is done to have made the rounds of 36 melodies (some tunes known as Merry Christmas, Happy birthday, classical music ...) and he spotted one that we like. The last one played is heard when you press or rather we pass his finger on the issuer because the latter is also a nice touch with bell button symbolized by a bell. For the visitor, a small blue LED lights on top to show him that the action was successful. On the receiver, you can also adjust the volume via a button on the bottom, so tactile. It offers 3 volume levels and quiet volume. This is not very convenient as it must then watch the green button that turns orange when someone rings. That said, if you have kids to nap, it may be practical but at high risk of miss a visit! Lives campaign, I tested the transmitter 150 meters from my house and it works without worry (I have not gone as 300 meters as advertised but I could if necessary on request).
This wireless kit is not far from perfect. It still lacks a seal on the transmitter (minimum!) And melodies pour too much in the acute although some remain adequate. My heart is torn between 4 and 5 stars but I think I'll opt for the latter choice because of the reasonable price and ease of installation.
Pros: - Ease of use - touch buttons - Excellent price / quality ratio
Cons: - too bright melodies (it hurts my ears!) - Not waterproof transmitter button
