The box is on the 1st floor of a former brewery (thick walls), I needed a PC in the garage, distant 15m from the main building. WiFi network box was barely enough for normal use. Getting extremely simple and quick, no need for special knowledge. Within 5 minutes, the repeater is placed midway between the box and the garage, my laptop has an Internet connection without any problems. Transfers between laptop and PC garage office are no problem, like on a wired network. My only regret? Do not have bought it earlier. I read some negative reviews. A simple advice: do not forget to reconfigure the WiFi network on the laptop computer to connect to the new network led by the repeater. Yes, you now have TWO networks: initial of the box, and that of the repeater. Logical right? This is the repeater that provides routing between 2 networks (transparently to the user). So when setting up, do not give the same name to the network "repeated" as the initial WiFi network.
Added 09/13/2013: I have since bought a second repeater to extend the wireless network to a dependence on 1 repeater. I did not need a lot of speed, just Internet access. After much research and many tests and configuration attempts impossible to cascade the 2 repeaters. If a good soul had a solution, I am grateful and thank in advance.
