Ci + module for the cable television network Germany

We bought CI + module shown here and use it in conjunction with a cable Germany digital connection. We use it along with a Philips 46PFL7695 / 02 along with a cable Germany smartcard. We can receive the "encrypted" digital channel and the HD channels without any problems.

This is the solution cheaper than the smart card of cable Germany to buy is only partly true. There you can "borrow" the charge card when signing a contract. Course, if you want to equip several TVs with CI + card is this offer significantly cheaper than the cable directly from Germany.

A few Notes on use:
-Each Ci + module carries a serial number. This must match the cable Germany customer service will be communicated in order to obtain the matching Smartcard.
-The Ci + module has fit well with our television in "both" directions. Works but it has (of course) only one. Unfortunately there have been available to prevent incorrect insertion of the module no "ribs" or the like. Damaged was thereby however nothing - The TV has just recognized a map in the wrong position.
-The Ci + module acts not very stable. It is open on the side and can be bent easily. I would advise caution when handling the module.
