With the re-release of the soundtrack for the first "Star Wars" movie of 1977 in the Special Edition of the '90s you went an unusual path. The songs on the album originally published were not heard in chronological order, but followed its own musical programmatic. However, this more recent recordings offers an entirely new listening experience. The music follows the film. In the same sequence as that of composer and conductor John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra masterfully rehearsed title in "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" could be heard, it can also be found on the CDs in this set. This is an immense pleasure for "Star Wars" fans and friends of film music. The new form of presentation can be followed as the music content of the narrated story follows very nice. This gives a fascinating insight into Williams' operation. Not necessarily recommended this CD set, however, for listeners who are only interested in the well-known melodies and leitmotifs, because few concert suites are included as bonus tracks.
