For those in a hurry, the short version first:
Picture and sound are distributed easily without sacrificing two connected devices.
Highly Recommended.

Long version:
Because I (lazy) wanted to change anything at the first test of my existing wiring, I tried a constellation of which do not actually allowed to work according to my previous experiences: At the end of a 5-meter HDMI cable I stuck to the splitter and distributed the signal further with a 30 cm long cable to the monitor and a 10 m (!!!) cable to a TV. Had the 10 m cable yet (on PC) never worked without problems, now was the astonishing result: Best picture and best sound on both devices. The signal is not only divided by the splitter but also strengthened.
Next, I tested the audio capability: Full HD image (60p) sent with Dolby True HD 7.1 on the AV receiver. The audio signal is looped through without any problems, the image remains properly. Other audio tracks (Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS) I have checked everything easily.
The splitter has a total of 4 LEDs that indicate the operation: power, input, 2x output (the LEDs are very bright, I've pasted below). In OFF mode then goes out and the corresponding light. I explain this because it has exposed a failure of my TV set: its HDMI input is turned "on" even when the power is turned off, which in turn resets the tone at the input device to stereo. As I said, a mistake of my TVs, but maybe the info helps yes to one or other for troubleshooting.
The splitter has a cleanly designed metal housing, consumed in operation about 2 watts and is thereby lukewarm.
From me there is the full rating.
