I'm using the Benq-G1 as a second camera and have never regretted the purchase. The G1 offers what most amateurs will probably never get to know: 24mm wide angle, Aperture 1.8, folding screen, aperture priority and full setting (even the flash intensity). The camera is well designed and fits comfortably in your hand. The menu is self-explanatory and visually pleasing to the eye. The camera bag is at its best. The photos are already in the standard-setting natural and not over-sharpened. With good wide angle interior shots are possible even without a flash. At least with ISO 100 most of the pictures are pretty good (do not use ISO Auto). Less successful: The G1 is quite wide and heavy, and thus not a true pocket camera. The Tele is rather faint. 14 megapixels are clearly too much, 3.5 times zoom would have been sufficient, and the chip would have to be one size larger. Then the G1 would be a real competitor for cameras like the Olympus XZ-2. She is now probably not, but for 120, there should be little better.
