Class design - bad image

With a monitor made by BenQ I could not go wrong, I thought to myself, as I have for many years own a 22 "monitor that mark and therefore am actually extremely satisfied.
Only the black housing and the 16:10 of the old monitor bothered me and ultimately to me caused by a new to create.

The design alone of white BenQ deserved for my taste definitely the full 5 stars, and the green "thingy" in the stand I found totally practical in order to finally find a permanent place on the desk for my smartphone.

However, during the actual, that unfortunately the image quality could not convince me at all the Monitor.
I have (no exaggeration!) Over two days, spent nearly 16 hours, or wasted in retrospect said better to set a satisfactory picture me - unfortunately without success.
All the preset modes were useless anyway, I found particularly annoying but I was unable to readjust to this. Depending on the modes I could only times the brightness, times the brightness and contrast, and sometimes even screws on a third parameter. But only in one "user" mode, I could freely adjust everything including color distribution (RGB) and saturation.
In direct comparison with my old monitor as a template should be used for calibration (because it viewed images be printed almost as) had the whites always a slight color cast (in Preferences mostly green) a really convincing White simply lies not adjust. Similarly, the black levels were problematic. This became especially clear, for example, while viewing photos of my dog, whose face consists almost entirely of blacks and something gray and dark brown eyes. All the nuances were clearly visible on my old machine and the various areas stood out clearly from one another. The new device showed me, however, formulated a little excessive, usually only a black slurry in which the eyes disappeared almost.
Even otherwise lacking in most images of dynamics and saturation. The pictures looked rather pale. Grade greens not really convinced it was the I increase the green level so that I got a green cast again in the whites. ... Everything very mühseelig and ultimately unsatisfying.

Since I was as I said from the design really excited me and nothing like it is known I was actually absolutely willing to arrange somehow to the new monitor. But since I like taking pictures as a hobby and some pictures sometimes far heritage work and help me for example exactly what shade I wonder now with purely bring makes the whole simply does not make sense if I during which the colors appear completely distorted.
For people want to use this monitor only for Office or similar it is certainly a good choice and will not stand out negatively besimmt, everyone else I would not suggest. Even when watching movies it is just too pale.
I will return the monitor with a heavy heart again.
