Have now 2 WD Red 3TB drives in use and am very satisfied. Parked these are TS-251 NAS in a QNAP.

# Installation
Installation of PC and NAS ran without problems. No firmware update or other fiddling were necessary.

# Temperature
Even under full load for several hours (Hab must push the content a few times back and forth) Was there any excessive temperature rises.

# Volume
My NAS is 2m away from my desk. Are the plates in use I hear hardly anything.

# Speed
Quite I manage the referencing of these plates do not, but this could well be due to my SATA controller, which has under his belt a few years. Otherwise, everything runs as smooth as that I now have 3 WD Red drives in use (2x 3TB in NAS, 1x 2TB in the computer)

Bug #
The oldest record is now 11 months old. Error I could not find the Smart Test

Conclusion #
The plate may be a few EUR more expensive than other competing products, but the quality has convinced me real. The next record will definitely be back from the house of WD.
